Question about 2001 Ford F250 Super Duty Super Cab

7.3 power stroke acts like it running out of fuel

I have a 2000 F250 with a 7.3 with 380000 km. It will start losing power and start running like it is running out of fuel even when I have just fueled up. If you try to step on the gas pedal it just flattens out (NO RESPONSE) It will happen most often when going up a grade doesn't really seem to matter how steep. Have replaced the cam position censer, turbo, fuel pump, fuel bowl heater, and batteries over the last few months but this problem seems to persist. It seems like after the truck has been running for awhile or is under a load ( not always but quite often )the air to fuel mixture in wrong.

Same truck, same symptoms as Kadvance, 130,000 miles. But, I can start truck and it will idle fine. I try to drive off, or rev up engine for 30 seconds or sow and it will sputter and die. It was doing better with full tank, but I found some gel in fuel, so ran it down to empty tank. I have checked fuel filter several times since and it no longer shows any problems. Seems like the bowl is just running empty and fuel pump is not keeping up. I don't want to go to the trouble of replacing pump if there's a common, less expensive to fix, problem.

Thanks for any assistance, Dan PSIWRIT@aol.com

Have you had it on a scan toll? did throw a code? it sounds like your sucking air into the system through a rubber boot from the aftercooler. as far as throttle response have you had the injectors checked?
