Batterie power problem

New batterie in car, batterie light comes on and radio/blinkers/electronics all loose power and car dies. Jump will start it up and will run good with no batterie light on only when rpm's are above 3k...if they go down any lower it will stall out and not start back up (just clicks). last time it died i was going up a hill trying to get it home and in third gear 2-3k rpm's no engine power and car would not accelerate with full throttle, came to a stop and died. Checker tested the batterie and said it is good and getting a good charge from the alternator. Could this be a bad ground? at a loss looking for any advise. Thanks in advance.

Yes it could be a bad ground. I also would make sure that all connections are tight as well

If i need alternater

Do you have an aftermarket stereo system? these cause a tremendous strain on your alternator which may be the problem. Check all connections to alternator, battery, and ground cables. the alternator will provide enough power to run your vehicle if it is working properly. If it is faulty, it will drain your battery. take it to an auto parts store to be tested before purchasing a new one, because it could be as simple as a loose or corroded wire

New battery. abs, battery and service engine lights come on. all headlights and tails flicker and car dies and wont start. jump it let it warm up and doesnt do it for awhile. then at some point it does it...

These are all signs of a bad alternator. The car is running off of only the battery. The alternator charges the battery and keeps the car running. When the alternator quits charging the car will run fine until the battery dies. Then you can jump the battery and charge it, and the car will run fine until all of the electronics and lights run the battery down again.

Batterie died after trying to jump start it my car was dead i plugged it in to charge i turn the key and the lights work the car wont even click over when turned ignition to start

Make sure you have the car properly in Park with lights off and try. If there's no clicking you either have a very loose terminal on the battery or the battery is no where near charged up enough. Try to jump start with someone wiggling the wires for the jumper cables. Once it starts clicking, leave the wires alone and let the battery accept a charge about 10 minutes while the other car is hooked up and then try again.

My honda civic wont start at first i thought it was the alternator so i went and picked one up from pick yah part and got it changed and the new alternator is charging my battery but when i try to start...

the problem is either in the batterie or alternator. junkyard alternators are a 50/50 chance of working. you should go to your local parts store and have them do a batterie/ alternator test. they dont require you to take them out the car.

91 ford temp w/new alt. ran good for a few days but now it died again and the amp light is on. Can jump it off and it will run for a while. Has new alt and new battery. Also , when you get on the brakes...

HI there
Try checking a few things first like jump start again and then take off the earth lead only{black} and let it run for 6 minute on idle then turn on the head lights main beam ,,if the engine dies in about 2 minutes then the Alternator isent working full power as it should be pumping out 13.5 volts min and the lights should be bright and stay on... if not you have a Alt problem still like a bad feed to alternator or a bad connection on the battery post or a loose wire from engine to body {earth wire } also check out the relay to Alt ..
Let me know how you get on . RON

My batterie keeps dying its been the third

What is the tester that you are using? It sounds like your charging system is not working. Instead replacing batteries, charge them with a small charger over-night. Once the battery is charged, start the car and measure the battery voltage with a voltmeter. At fast idle, the voltage should be from 13.5 to 14.5 volts (DC). If it reads only 12.6 volts, the charging system is in trouble. The first suspect is the alternator which is driven by the belt. It is controlled by the voltage regulator, so either unit is suspect. If you take the car to an auto parts supplier, they will usually check your alternator and regulator for free in the hopes that you will buy any needed parts from them. Good luck!

Car wont start, lights will come on and radio and windows. doesn't appear to be battery, but it also wont jump off either. is this the starter. makes no noise what so ever when you turnt he key

This exact same thing happened to me, it can be a number of problems. You might not have enough battery charge to get the car going since the fuel pump in this car is electronic, my car did not start but when i took it to a mechanic thinking the battery was perfect because lights and all were on they jump started it and it started then immediately died, i also had a choke pull off failure, leaks in my carburetor, and the float was to heavy causing flooding. 185 dollars later and a rebuilt carburetor my car had a smooth idle and turned on immediately after turning ignition. but then to find out my alternator was bad hence the battery only having enough power for the radio and lights.so in short try jumping the car even though the battery seems good, check your carb or get it checked by a mechanic, then check if your alternator is ok. if i waited for two days without attempting to start car then trying it would start if i held the ignition and pushed the gas pedal down until it started. (see if thats the case for you) my guess is you carb, battery, and alternator.
