If the EGR is actived by vacum, check the hose (may be craked) clean EGR and around, check solenoid after delete def.cod.
if is electronically actuated ,take out plastic cover clean actuater mecanism and the shaft also.delete def.cods(you can actived the EGR with diagnostic tool to see if is OK)clean air pressure sensor also!
check turbulence sistem if the problem remains!

99 maxima ran till it was parked now it turns over will not start gave code p0400 any ideas

The fault is somewhere around the EGR valve - probably the EGR valve or the throttle position sensor.

Before replacing any sensors try removing and cleaning the EGR.

I'm getting P0400 and P0235 on Renault Logan

P0400 Exhaust Gas Recirculation Flow Malfunction
P0235 Turbocharger Supercharger Boost Sensor Circuit Malfunction

I would say the EGR Valve is faulty- stuck open. I think the second code ( P0235) is being generated due to the EGR problem.

Codes p0400

P0400 is an EGR code. Usually caused by carbon blocking some of the the vacuum ports. It can also be caused by a blocked vaccum hose, misrouted hoses, or even a bad ECM

Check engine light comes on,now is staying on.Code reads P0400.I have been told what the code means but need it narrowed down;I do have a leak in my gas tank on top.Should this be the problem.Just wanted...

the code p0400 is not a fuel leak but a lack of the fuel tank to hold a vaccum. it is possibly one of three things : abad cap :a bad evap solenoid : a bad canister dump valve. most of these would need to be check by a tech to determin which one.
the ets is usualy an abs problem with the lite on it should turn the abs off

Truble code p0400

the passage that causes this low flow is in the intake, it gets full of carbon and gunk, try running a wire through it, also make sure the EGR passes a functional test.
