I don't know why you want to rebuild your oil pump, it's much safer and cheaper in the long run to replace it with a "new" one. If you have to go back in because the rebuilt one has too high of tollerences, that can cost a lot more in time and money.

MY VAN RAN OUT OF OIL WHEN I WAS DRIVING THE OIL LIGHT NEVER CAME ON.. NOW IT'S MAKING A LOUD TAPPING NOISE SOMEONE TOLD ME IT'S MY TAPPET'S I NEED TO FIX MY VAN IM A SINGEL MOM WITH 2 BOYS

Did you try topping it off with oil and seeing if the noise goes away? If so, it sounds like you may have some internal engine damage, and without taking it apart, it is difficult to say exactly what is wrong without listening to it myself. I would say it's probably time for an engine rebuild if the oil doesn't clear this tapping sound up.

Oil light stays on until you reach 2000 rpm's. Is it the Oil Sending Unit?

Oil light coming on usually means low oil pressure. IE: low oil, pump worn and possibly the sending unit. Before buying a new oil pressure switch you can try cleaning it by removing sender and soak lower part (that screws into engine) in parts or carb cleaner. Sometimes they stick and get gummed up.
