Question about 2003 Volkswagen New Beetle Convertible

Driver side window & other things...

Hi, I bought a used 2003 Conv. Beetle that seemed like it was in great condition...until about 6 months ago.

There is a squeeky sounding belt in the engine....i hear it most when it's cold..
The drivers side window has not been wanting to go down when I try to shut the door.....and now has completely stopped & I have to leave the window cracked to shut the door....
There is 2 engine lights that come on periodically. One is the EPC light, and the other is a hazzard light.
And also, now the airbag light is on too.
Can you give any advice? Thanks
Amanda

I know there is a recall on the air bag - you might want to take it to the dealer or call on it? My car was doing the same thing with the window but it fixed it's self - I am sure it will be back?

SOURCE: I have freestanding Series 8 dishwasher. Lately during the filling cycle water hammer is occurring. How can this be resolved

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

This seems to be an ongoing problem. I had the passenger side break a year ago and now its the drivers side. Last time it was about a $500 repair if I remember right.

Window will not lower when door handle is pulled to open door.

VW window motors are known to be problematic. Lucky you had a service contract, otherwise you may have opted to replace the window motor yourself for substantially less cost.
