Question about 1996 Honda Accord
How do i change the pads, is it hard
No it isnt.Just a little patience.take off the tire turn the steering wheel to the right for the right side brake caliper.get a long screwdriver flat head. Before you use the screwdriver to partially compress the piston make sure you take the cap off of the master cylinder resavoir! Then take the screwdriver and place it inbetween the rotor and brake caliper and compress the piston until the caliper becomes loose. Then there are two bolts on the caliper remove the two smaller bolts and pull off the caliper assembly.with either a c-clamp or brake piston compressor compress the piston with one of the old pads until the piston bottoms out.take note of the pads one is for the front one is for the back.replace the pads and then replace the calliper.repete for the other side. Before you step on the brakes make sure you have replaced the cap on the resavoir and before you put the car into gear pump the brakes two to three times to tighten the piston against the pads.thank you for using fixya
