Modern transmissions require regular ATF automatic transmission fluid changes. Of ten the interval is around every 36,000 miles. I recommend changing the ATF and see if the condition improves. If the ATF is really dirty drive the vehicle for 1000 to 2000 miles and change it again. I always start with the cheapest fixes first. Hope this helps.

I have a G30 chevy van, out of the blue it decided not to shift out of 1st gear, trans fluid is clean and full, what could be the problem ?

There could be a number of possible reasons why your G30 Chevy van is not shifting out of 1st gear. Some potential causes could include:
  1. Faulty shift solenoids: The shift solenoids are responsible for controlling the flow of transmission fluid through the valve body, which in turn affects the shifting of gears. If the solenoids are not functioning properly, it can cause the transmission to get stuck in 1st gear.
  2. Low transmission fluid pressure: If the fluid pressure in the transmission is too low, it can prevent the gears from shifting properly.
  3. Faulty transmission control module: The transmission control module (TCM) is responsible for controlling the shifting of gears in an automatic transmission. If the TCM is faulty or has malfunctioned, it can cause the transmission to get stuck in 1st gear.
  4. Internal transmission issues: There could be internal issues within the transmission itself that are preventing it from shifting out of 1st gear. This could include worn gears or clutches, or other mechanical issues.
It is recommended to take your van to a qualified mechanic or transmission specialist to diagnose the issue and perform any necessary repairs.

Mercedes actor 2009 mp3 model truck Gear is not working in automatic mode only working in manual mode how solve

If your 2009 Mercedes-Benz MP3 model truck's gear is not working in automatic mode and only working in manual mode, there could be a few potential causes. Here are a few steps you can try to troubleshoot and solve the issue:
  1. Check the transmission fluid level: Make sure that the transmission fluid level is at the correct level and is not low. Low transmission fluid level can cause gear shifting problems.
  2. Check the transmission filter: The transmission filter may be clogged, preventing the gears from shifting properly. Replace the filter if necessary.
  3. Check the transmission control module (TCM): The TCM is responsible for controlling the automatic gear shifting. If it's malfunctioning, it can cause gear shifting problems.
  4. Check the gear selector switch: The gear selector switch may be malfunctioning and preventing the gears from shifting properly.
  5. Check the solenoids: The solenoids in the transmission may be malfunctioning and preventing the gears from shifting properly.
  6. Check the transmission control linkages: The transmission control linkages may be damaged or disconnected, preventing the gears from shifting properly.
If you are not comfortable with checking these things, it's best to take the vehicle to a certified Mercedes-Benz mechanic to diagnose the problem. The technician will be able to identify the problem and repair it as necessary.
It's important to note that some of these steps may require special tools and knowledge of the vehicle's transmission system, so it's best to take it to a professional mechanic to avoid causing more damage.

2014 fuso 515 manual transmission won't shift from neutral into gears when engine running but will shift when not running. Any suggestions please?

There are a few possible reasons why your 2014 Fuso 515 manual transmission might not shift from neutral into gears when the engine is running but will shift when the engine is not running. The clutch is not disengaging properly: The clutch is responsible for engaging and disengaging the transmission from the engine. If the clutch is not disengaging properly, it can cause the transmission to not shift gears properly. The synchronizers are worn or damaged: The synchronizers are located in the transmission and help to match the speed of the engine and the transmission when shifting gears. If the synchronizers are worn or damaged, it can cause the transmission to not shift gears properly. The transmission fluid is low or dirty: The transmission fluid lubricates and cools the transmission. If the transmission fluid is low or dirty, it can cause the transmission to not shift gears properly. The transmission is faulty: If the transmission is faulty, it can cause the transmission to not shift gears properly. If you are experiencing this problem, it is important to have your vehicle diagnosed by a qualified mechanic to determine the root cause of the problem. Once the cause of the problem has been identified, the mechanic can recommend the necessary repairs. Here are some tips to help prevent this problem from happening in the future: Use the clutch properly: When shifting gears, use the clutch to disengage the transmission from the engine. Have your transmission serviced regularly: The transmission fluid should be changed according to the manufacturer's recommendations. Avoid shifting gears when the engine is under load: When the engine is under load, it can put stress on the transmission and cause problems.

Shifter hard to move thru gears cables are good and free when disconnected hear squeak when shifting

first i would contact ford dealershift to see if any recalls with this problem...The transmission on the 2002 Ford Focus has been having problems shifting gears,The linkage inside the transmission suffers from premature wear, causing difficulty in switching or shifting gears. The transmission bands that wrap around each gear to hold the gears in place are becoming loose, causing the gears to shift harshly. Both problems have been the biggest culprit when the Ford Focus transmission experiences problems shifting gears. The only correction for this shifting problems is to have the transmission replaced or rebuilt.

When you put it into gear gets hung up in between two gears

My dad always lectured me to "look for the most likely or obvious things first." First, for a moment, I'll assume you're talking about an automatic transmission... If so, check the ATF (automatic transmission fluid) level.. Correcting any problem there just might fix you up.
If you're talking about a manual shift transmission, and I'm afraid that you are, that's a whole different deal. There's a mechanism, and it can either be on the outside.. or the inside of a transmission... that's allowing one shifting lever to remain engaging a gear.. as you're trying to engage another gear with a different shifting lever. A vehicle will not move very far if it is in two gears. The idea of it actually being between two gears or being in two gears at once, is quite concerning. A broken shifting fork inside the transmission can cause this.. If there's shifting linkage you can get to, you can try to make sure that all linkage is in the neutral position. If you can accomplish that, it should go... and you'll need to take it easier on your shifting gears... because, unless you get some repairs made, it can easily happen again. If you get all the linkage in a neutral position... and then the car is willing to go, that means it is still in a gear... which is bad.... Your transmission needs work.

2000 hyundia automatic

does your car vibrate when shifting gears ??
your problem could be either worn gears on the transmission or the transmission mounts.
if the car vibrates when shifting then most likely are your transmission mounts, when they get worn the transmission will move a little out of place and you will have problems shifting.
if it doesn't vibrate probably are your gears and transmission will have to be repaired.
