Tail lights 1993 Subaru Impreza tail lights won't turn off even after the car is shut off. I have had to pull the fuse.

Check to make sure the bulbs are good. If they are make sure the fuse is not blown. If its good check for power to the rear sockets.

Mr. Williams since you tried with fuse,bulbs and brake light switch with no success,why you do not try to check your circuit by using a tester and see whether you have any broken wire or bad earth?

50-60 psi is not enough. you want 130+

check fuses

use a test light and check every fuse. ground the test light to a metal surface like the brake pedal bracket and touch the light pointer onto each fuse contact. on the fuses where it gives the amp # like 10, 15, 20. there are 2 little metal dots for this purpose check both dots if both metal dots make the light work ....it's good. But if only one dot lights and the other dot on the same fuse doesn't then that fuse is bad. Even if you find one still check all others.

Listen for the clicking noise,and find the flasher,and remove it.

there ie a switch for parking lights on top of steering column ..i bump it all the time!

On my 2004 Impreza ther is a switch on top of steering column that turns those lights on all the time. Look for that switch.
