I live in Japan under orders from the USMC. I have a 1995 Honda Odyssey that will not shift out of park. The instrument panel doesn't work. I have checked all the fuses and they are good. All the forums that I am reading state that it is probably the brake shift interlock solenoid. My question is where is this thing located on a right hand drive vehicle?

may I ask if your vehicle has a small **** in the shift console near the gear shift lever about 1/2 inch long and 1/8 th inch wide? and does your shift lever have a push button on the top?

1995 honda odyssey van radiator fan is not working?

Have mechanic test the fan to make sure it's in working order. If it's okay, the thermostat switch that turns the fan on and off may be the problem.

How do I access DLC Port location in a 2002 Honda Odessey Minivan?

On 2002 Honda Truck Odyssey 3.5L MFI SOHC VTEC 6cyl the OBD Diagnostic Link Connector is located under the instrument panel in the driver's side. It is bolted to the kick panel and is gray in color on the 1998 and newer models.

Also refer to Haynes manual in the emissions and engine control system section .

Hope this helps; also keep in mind that your feedback is important and I'll appreciate your time and consideration if you leave some testimonial comment about this answer.

Thank you for using Fixya, and have a nice day.

On a 1995 honda odyssey there 's a green connector on pass side kick panel that is obd 1 now witch wires do i jump for codes ?

On 95–98 models, to access DTC memory using the MIL, the SCS 2 pin connector is located under the righthand side of the instrument panel. Place ignition switch in the On position to begin MIL flash code diagnosis.
Simply connect the two pins (a paper clip is most often used to do this) before you turn the switch on, then turn the switch to the ON position and your MIL will flash the codes.

This URL lists the codes for OBD I:
http://www.troublecodes.net/honda/hondadtc.shtml

SOME 95 vehicles had the SCS on the left hand side of the Glove compartment, under the dash. Usually the connector was blue. See pic, although I don't think this applies to your vehicle.

2003 Honda Odyssey that will not come out Park

Yes most likely, the brake switch also sends power to a solenoid to unlock the shift lever. If the trans works fine once you get it out of park, the trans itself is fine
