1997 pickup wont start. fuel

- i drove it to work and it ran great. when i shut it off and went in, i was there for about 45 mins. i came back out and started it and drove 100 yds to load some lumber, so i killed it. when i finished i went to start it it wouldnt start. it acted like it wasnt getting any fuel. i checked fuel filter and checked to see if fuel pump was pumping. i'am getting fuel up to just before carbrator.i pour alittle gas in carbrator and it runs til fuel is gone. it just wont start.

- i tryed what you say about topping off tank and it still wont start

i added fuel to air intake
