I have the same thing on my car after having the power steering pump replaced I was trying to find out the same thing myself it didn't have that warning until after I got the car back from the shop

sounds like traction control shutting on and off sometimes traction control is better off, and it feels like power steering is going off and on or your pump is bad and maybe you dont have any fluid in the pump do you hear a grinding waaaaah noise when you turn the wheel if so it needs fluif in the power steering pump reservoir

Get the trouble codes read again. The traction control system gets its information from the all four wheel speed sensors, the steering angle sensor and the yaw sensor, so it's a fairly complicated system. You don't want to be guessing why the system is kicking in. Cutting power is what it's supposed to do when it thinks you've lost stability, so there's obvious something wrong with the sensors or wiring harness.
Your best bet would be to take it to a qualified repair shop. Special tool's and knowledge are needed . Scan tools , electrical diagnostic , service information . Your vehicle has a bunch of computers (control modules) C.A.N. cantroller area network serial data communication networks . Hi speed , med. speed , low speed . The power steering is electronic ,computer controlled , sensors on the steering shaft .With those light's lit , DTC'S - diagnostic trouble codes are stored etc... Plus there is a real chance of being electrocuted. High voltage !

check the hub assemblys when the traction control is engaged the computer does not allow full power to be distributed to the traction wheels should also check the rack and pinion either 1 of these issuses can cause problems with the steering and control of the vehicle also check the traction sensors
It's usually the sensor inside the wheel hub or the wiring harness to the brake controller. The service traction light will set a trouble code. If your mechanic is stumped, authorize him to call a GM tech support line. The call is $50, but the GM tech support can help him figure out what's wrong.
Traction control does not make steering go stiff, it works via the ABS sensors and engine control unit. Depending on how often this fault occurs it could simply be a slipping drive belt which turns the power steering pump when under pressure
Engine light on means that your lambda probe is malfunctioning just raplace it and it will come off,or the mixture of gases and gas is not proper and you need to tune the car at bosch motronic.
traction control warning light means that the sensors analizing it are malfunctioning and or you have a serious problem on the traction control
