I tried the wd 40 and still did not start, their is plenty of pressure on the fuel lines, so that leads to indicate that the fuel pump is working fine. How can I check the modules to see if they are functioning. I also have done the fuel reset button.????

What happens when you remove air intake from throttle body & spray a little wd-40 in to the throttle body, and try to start? If it starts and runs temporarily, you've still got a fuel delivery problem. That coffee color worries me, like maybe your fuel lines etc are plugging up with rust etc, from inside tank. Have you added any fuel system cleaner to gas lately?

If it doesn't even try to fire with WD-40, I'd be checking for spark.

I have a 99 mercury cougar. the fuel pump has just been changed, the filter, the lines. when all that got done it started like there was never a problem. went out about 3 hours later, and it will crank and...

Pull the plugs, see if they are black. To much gas. replace the fuel pressure regulator. If white, not enough fuel. Check the fuel filter, if dirty or rust colored replace the tank, pump and filter again.

Car will start sometimes other times i will have to continue to crank the engine it cranks everytime

As it cranks, is there white or black exhaust smoke ?? If yes, the fuel injectors have solid build up on the tips. Normally, a quart bottle of injector cleaner treats 20 gallons. Pour 5 to 7 quarts of fuel injector cleaner. With cold engine (been parked for at least an hour or overnight), while cranking engine, have 2nd person spray starting fluid into air filter. DO NOT PRESS ON GAS PEDAL !!! Let the starting fluid do its job of starting the car. Starting fluid is highly combustible, so its important you don't give any gas while its cranking and 2nd person is spraying into air filter. When engine starts, stop spraying starting fluid and give a little gas. If engine begins to die, immediately spray a little starting fluid again. When engine begins to run, let it run a few minutes to let fuel injector cleaner to do its job (loosen solid carbon build up on tips of fuel injectors).

I have a 94es300 i crank it it starts up runs 5 mins shuts off like not getting enough gas changed fuel pump, fuel filter , fuel pressure regulator and ignitor still same whats up with this car

If you changed the fuel pump and the fuel filter and ignitor and regulator,in the list of changes do you know you have a EFI. The EFI main relay turn on the fuel pump which includes the circuit opening relay. Testing it mainly passes with flying colors just replace

Takes several cranks to start truck, even though it is fuel injected.once started, fuel is pumped fine.

May be having fuel pressure problems. I would change the fuel filter if you haven't in awhile. A plugged filter will cause the fuelpump to overwork, not build proper pressure & wear out prematurely.

Just changed plugs on 1994 ford explorer and it wont turn over wondering if its the gas ladder or fuel relay switch

Is it not turning over or not firing? If not firing, it could be bad crank sensor, coilpacks, or module
If no spark

If no fuel, bad fuel pump relay, plugged fuel filter, or low fuel pressure.

Cranks & cranks & will not start, changed fule filter

need to put a fuel pressure tester on the fuel rail to see if there is any fuel pressure. if there is then pull a plug wire off with someone cranking to see if there is spark, don't hold the end of the wire, it will shock the living tar out of you. and don't touch the car either when holding the wire. you will ground yourself. best of luck.

2000 explorer is dying while I drive. It will start back up but with some difficulty. Could it be the fuel pump? The gauges do flicker a little but doesnt seem like the alternator. I drove 300 miles...

which gauge flickers. When last did u changed your fuel filter I usually changed it every 6 months and they are not very expensive. ONce your fuel filter is dirty eventually some debris will come out of the filter then it will go to your injectors and that is not good.

Will not start

Open the air filter container. Spray some starting fluid in and see if it starts. If it starts, it is the fuel filter or fuel pump or both.
