ABS light came on. Put on all new breaks. ABS light continued to be on. Was tested 2 times at Auto Zone and I tested with my meter. There was no code found. Disconnected battery and it did not reset. Why is the ABS light still on.

Possibly a problem with the ABS module, not brakes themselves.

My abs light came on then the break light followed what do i do?

This is common for most cars. The brake light is required to come on with the ABS. But the ABS is not required to come on with the brake. If both lights are on I would take it to Auto-Zone or Advance Auto and have a free diagnostic scan run. With the codes they provide we can further suggest action from there. Typically ABS codes are related to wheel sensors. If 1 sensor goes bad it sets a code pinpointing its location. Not to fear tho..Even with the ABS light on you still have good brakes. In the event of ABS failure the braking system reverts to standard braking.

sounds like one of your abs sensors is bad ,if you take your vehicle to either advance auto parts ,auto zone or similar store they can test it for you to find which sensor is bad free of charge.

It shows an ABS light and check engine soon light but mechanics say everything is ok

HAVE VECHICLE SCANNED I HAVE SEEN IF ALTERNATOR VOLTAGE OUTPUT DROP TO 11.0 VOLTS THAT WILL CAUSE ABS AND CHECK LIGHT TO COME ON.DRIVE BELT COULD BE SLIPPING.BUT TAKE CAR TO AUTO ZONE OR ANY AUTO PARTS STORE THEY WILL SCAN CAR FREE TO SEE WHAT CAUSING CHECK ENGINE LIGHT TO COME ON.ANY TIME WARNING LIGHTS TURN ON SOMETHING WRONG WITH CAR.IF AUTO ZONE OR AUTO PARTS CANT SCAN FIND PROBLEM TAKE CAR TO DEALERSHIP LET THEM SCAN VECHICLE.BECAUSE WHEN ABS LIGHT COME ON ABS BRAKE SYSTEM NOT WORKING THE ABS UNIT IS PART OF THE MASTERCYLINDER WHICH IS THE PART MAIN PART BRAKING SYSTEM.

Cavalier 1996 2.4 motor, change plugs, new coils, control module test OK Misfires will not stay running. Engine light will blink when running. Will not run well enough to drive. Has been avery good runner,...

one of the injectors could be the problem. if the check engine blinks in a continuous mode the fault will have to be pulled from the module, but if it blinks in different series Example: 2 times and then 4 times, it's giving a fault code of 24. A long pause between blinks is a new code or repeat of the same code. these will have to be referenced with a manual, which auto zone could help you with. You can go to the auto zone, advance auto web site and it will help you to narrow the problem down.

ABS light stays on all of the time.

Your dealing with OBDII
I am dealing with OBDI "93 Caprice Classic"
***I have been told***
The code is read from the ABS light on the dash
If it blinkes 3 times and stays on, Bad ground, if it flashes more then that it's a bad sensor and the count will give you the bad sensor.
Unfortunatly mine blinks three time and I have not found the ground wire yet.
Good luck

O2 Dodge Dakota Brake lights wont work but bulbs r good.

If the bulbs are good I would suspect the Brake light switch.

Brake Light Switch: Testing and Inspection
The brake lamp switch can be tested with an ohmmeter. The ohmmeter is used to check continuity between the pin terminals.
Switch Circuit Identification
- Terminals 1 and 2: brake lamp circuit
- Terminals 3 and 4: RWAL/ABS module and Powertrain Control Module (PCM) circuit
- Terminals 5 and 6: speed control circuit
Switch Continuity Test
NOTE: Disconnect switch harness before testing switch continuity.
With switch plunger extended, attach test leads to pins 1 and 2. Replace switch if meter indicates no continuity.
With switch plunger retracted, attach test leads to pins 3 and 4. Replace switch if meter indicates no continuity.
With switch plunger retracted, attach test leads to pins 5 and 6. Replace switch if meter indicates no continuity.

Traction system

Hi there.Whats happening here is an abs sensor in the wheel has failed. In doing so it will turn off your traction control because your abs breaks and traction control work together .If maybe you have an auto zone near by they can scan your break system to find what abs sensor is causing the problem.I hope this clarified some for ya..Auto zone will scan the car for free so that won't cost you anything. You can drive the car you just wont have abs and you should get it fixed.Again I hoped I helped you and if you need further assistance I'll be here to help you..Have a great day..
