Just bought a 2000 beetle temp light comes on blue after start but goes out after a short while, I thought that was normal. Air bag light on all the time; this just started so I haven't had much time to investigate. I'm not sure how to get the codes, will any of the OBD2 testers get the malfuntion codes; I've been considering buying one?

My airbag light has been on forever. Also my alarms sounds for no reason, so I can't lock my car. Trunk and gas tank buttons don't work. Is this all connected?

My headlights have quit working on my 1994 Chevy 1500 pickup. I replaced the headlight switch but they still don't work. The parking lights come on but not the headlights

Try checking both a; your fuses, and b; check your bulbs. You should have two fuse boxes, one under hood and one in or under the dash. Check those for bad, blown or weak fuses. And check your headlights bulbs for them being good and their connection. If this doesn't fix your problem, you may check out your highbeam switch.

DRL works all the time...turn lamp switch on ..don't get brighter...and highbeams don't work.

The DRL's are separate from the actual headlights. It sounds like your headlights aren't working at all. The first thing I would check would be the headlight fuse(s), or relay(s). The location for these should be in your owner's manual.

Hope this helps!

Just bought a 2000 VW beetle. The headlights don't work. All the other lights work fine.

Check bulbs and fuses. If those are okay then it might be the headlamp switch.

My problem is when I turn on the headlights, the parking lights comes but not the headlights, but when I hold the turn signal switch / highbeam to the rear the driving lights comes on but I will have to...

you might just have two bad low beam headlights, I have seen it before. Only other problem would be the switch that turns on the headlights is bad. Best way is to Test power going into the headlight when the low beams are turned on to rule out the switch.
