Anti-theft security code?!

Hi!
So...My battery went dead and now my radio is fried. I'm getting Err and Cod-E on the display. I have a 1999 Acura 2.3CL. I have seen some info about some kind of radio code I'm supposed to put in, but being a girl, I have no idea what this means obviously ha! ;-) Can someone please tell me how to do that?
Thank you soooo much

Check any documents you have for the car and look for a card that came with it when it was new. It will have an anti theft code on it. If you find it turn the key on in your car then with the radio on use the station preset buttons to enter the code. If you dont have the code then take your car to an acura service department and they will give you the code after verifying its serial number.

Hi the radio went dead on my kia sorrento 2004, after the battery died and the car had to be jump started. I am pretty sure that my fuse for the radio went dead. I checked both fuse box in the sorrento,...

The anti theft security feature on the radio was triggered when the battery power was lost. If you have your owners manual, it will have instructions on how to get the security code to unlock the radio. Otherwise, you may have to contact a dealer for help.

Need code for 1999 acura integra radio

Hi:

You have to go to your Integra dealer to get that, due to the fact it is an anti theft code. Of ten they also need the number off the top of the radio too.

This keeps thieves from selling stolen radios...

Can't get radio on after a dead battery. it says code then err

that is an anti-theft system in the radio - if you bought the car new, there should be a "code" recorded & unlock directions in owners manual. If these are not present - a trip to the dealer is needed to unlock radio

Radio dead after battery failure. possible anti theft code required?

Yes, alot of cars have this feature. It is a anti-theft feature so if it is removed you need a code to unlock the radio (or if the battery is unpluged). If it's an after market deck than it should be in the manual if no manual than try googling it. If it is the factory deck than more than likly you will have to go back to the dealer to get the code. Good luck.

Acura car stereo lock codes my stereo needs a code is a Acura 3.0CL now it says err-3 can some one help

err-3 means you have entered incorrect anti-theft radio code more that three times. If you do not have radio code you can most of the time find the code card tucked away in the owners manual pouch.(looks like a bussiness card)If you are unable to find card you would have to pull radio from dash and retrive stereo serial number, which is on bottom side of radio.once you have s/n you can take s/n to any acura dealership(has to be a dealer)and they can get radio code for that stereo through Honda Corp.once you have correct radio code you will need to first unplug radio,or disconnect battery to reset radio memory, then type in radio code.again if entered incorrectly 3x ,radio would need to be reset again too clear error codes.good luck!

Radio error on Acura

We had the same problem. As advised from another website, we unhooked the battery and hooked the cables together for about 10 minutes. This reset the radio and allowed us to put in the 5-digit code. Now we're jammin'!

Radio pin code

Hi,

The anti theft feature has been activated. Disconnect both battery terminasl for some 30 seconds and reconnect the. If after doing this, the radio asks for a CODE, then you need the code now, but if the radio keeps displaying ERROR E the radio is bad.( the radio will never give you any code to unlock it for that purpose you must go to your nearest Acura dealer as they are authorized to retrieved it online from factory)
