How do you know the pressure (im guessing you mean cylinder pressure) is low? this can be caused by : Leaking or bent valves from a broken t-belt or skipped timing (from loose t-belt), and bad piston rings how many miles on this motor and does it run at all? you should check your timing belt and be sure the timing is set correctly please let me know and be sure to rate this solution -jeff

2007 honda cr-v diesel starting problem

Hi Francis
Ii advise you to get a back leak test and fuel rail pressure check by expert,
the problem that you have is low fuel pressure, probably caused by injector/s back leak.
Good luck

1998 accord wont start after turning it off and starting it almost immediately

yes, and did you tune it up and do all 60 and 100k service points.
spark parts, and filters ? all ?
yes:
then its losing spark, check spark quality time number of cylinders.
the PCM will cut fuel if it (thinks?) that spark is bad, this feature (safety) is a spark read back path that tells the ECM/PCM that
spark is good.
so once spark is good, all 4 cylinder. (max) simple tests, (ask)
then its bad fueling, (more simple tests)

do you want us to guess, or explain the simple tests.
some like guessing.
top good guesses are:
1: bad fuel.
2: bad spark (never ever tuned up, this decade)
3: fuel filter packed, fuel pressure very low. or nil. or marginal.
4: wrong gas cap? causes low fuel pressure?

i check spark, then fuel.
to check fuel i fist check pressure, every time.
the squirt test only proves the pump has electr. power, nothing else. I use a real guage to do that., do you have tools and gauges and a volt meter? if not, its all just guessing.

1992 honda accord ex 2.2L \r\nStarts. and run s OK till engine warms-up then it lacks power and idles rough? Service engine (yellow light) comes-on after engine gets warm! Red oil pressure light also...

Hi. This issue has several causes, but the oil light indicator is a strong sign of low pressure in the engine. This will cause the engine lubrication rate to drop, thus, producing a illuminated oil light, and erratic Oil pressure readings. The necessary actions are to have a manual oil pressure test ran on this engine, asap. When running a manual oil pressure test, you will discover if the true oil pressure is low, or normal. If the test proves that the oil pressure is, indeed, low, this will confirm that the Oil pump is suspect.

Now, if the true readings given during the manual oil pressure test are indicating that the pressure is normal, this will be the result of a failed sending unit(oil pressure switch). Although the oil pressure is suspect, this is not your only issue here. There seems to be a abnormal compression rate, present. This is causing the rough idle, and erratic RPMs. I recommend to administer a engine block compression test, as well. This test will discover if , indeed, there are issues within the cylinder heads, and block structure, such as a worn head gasket, cylinder wall issues, and cracked block. Normally, these issue will send signs, like white, or gray smoke out the tail pipe, or discolored oil. It will, also, promote erratic RPM ratings, and a rough idle. Have the oil pressure test, and engine block compression test ran, asap.

Once the test are administered, you will be able to isolate the actual problem areas, more accurately. Check the spark plug wire sets, and ignition assembly for faults, also.

Ac compressor does not come on. I checked all recommended fuses. Pressure on low side is in red (High) Thank you

Assuming something works can sometimes steer us in the wrong direction, but if the fans are working, this is either a high pressure issue or a bad coil on the compressor. Do you have a test light or volt meter? If so, we can test the compressor coil and narrow it down.

I have a 90 crx si with a b16a vetec engine in it. I was wondering what kind of engine is in it because it is a swap. the motor number is 1207276? and i have an idleing problem and im pretty sure that its...

A B16A with no number fallowing it is a JDM engine. If it was a B16A1 for example it is a USDM engine. As for the idle problem its probably a tps sensor and if it idles really low rpms you should up the idle at the trottle body to idle at 800 rpms to be safe, To low of a idle will cause bearings to go out and throw a rod.
Lookj at the valve cover if it is a jdm you will know if it is a SIR or a SIR2, SIR has larger font for the DOHC and smaller font for the VTech The sir2 has larger font Vtech and smaller font DOHC. The SIR2 also has oil jets underside of pistons and rods to help lubricate piston rod conections.

Reset oil light/1999 honda

There is no reset for the oil light. if its ON there is a problem with the oil pressure system. Low oil in engine,(not enough)Possible cause is LOW oil pressure form worn main/conneting rod bearings or bad oil pressure switch. have oil pressure check manually at oil pressure switch connection and make sure its at the right pressure. Contact if you need more help and thanks for using FIX YA.

B16A

The B16a will fit in the 86 as far as the positioning, and motor mounts go. Of course you will have to upgrade the ecu, or at least get a piggy back unit for the extra fuel to run that monster. Hope that helps. Oh yea, and I am pretty sure the tranny should fit, but you may want to check the codes/serial #'s at your local dealer.
