If this is happening all the time i would jack up the car and manuelay turn the wheels and listen for anything unusual if it is happening when you press the brakes i would pull the wheels and examine them for a stuck caliper or slider, before removeing the wheels try shaking them side to side and up and down to check for exxcessive play that may indicate a wheel bearing or other loose front end parts, fyi a bad wheel bearing when going around 40-50 mph and veering slowly left then right will usally make noise going one direction worse than going the other -jeff

What is the 2006 honda civic front wheel bearing torque spec

what the hell are you talking about? you have sealed wheel bearings. the preload is already set at the bearing manufacturer. the bearing is pressed into the spindle unit and the front axles are secured to the hub. hub is pressed into the inner race of wheel bearing.

I have a 2004 honda civic and it makes a droaning noise when i change gears, coudl this be an internal gearbox fault? i also have a constant screaching noise when driving when i slighly move the steering...

Pilot bearing or a throw bearing is what makes the noise while shifting gears and as for the steering noise, you either have low steering fluid or the steering pump belt is loose.

you could have 2 problems. steering leak and poss a bearing. jack up the car and spin the right front wheel, makes noise there is a problem. if the noise only happens when you turn, with tire off turn the wheel and watch.

Honda Civic 2007 Civic . Cahange wheel bearing and

sorry to tell you this but it sounds like the wheel bearing was put in backwards on one or both sides. the front wheel bearings have a black speed ring built in and that is what your speed sensor reads off. - this is common as the front bearings will install either way- hope this helps

98 honda civic ex check light comes on, when i passed thru puddle of water on road

Sounds like an ABS sensor, or a sensor in a wheel bearing which is intermitten (bad) when you pass through a puddle. Possible wire damage?

'97 HONDA CIVIC LS "rattles" when accelerating...sounds kinda like radiator but it is filled to capacity. Also, should i drive in D3 or D4?

It could be a wheel bearing. Usually the noise is worse when turning and sounds like a chain dragging. Look under the car and see if the rubber boot on the inside of the tire is leaking grease. If so, it is almost certainly a wheel bearing.
