Rad fan fuse blows

Hay there i just bought a 92 jetta . its a 1.8L . now the problem im having is that the fuse keeps blowing on it and the previous owner just left the fuse out . it runns great but we all know what happens when ur rad fans not working . so i was doing some reading and i figure that it is the Auxiliary Fan Sensor or that the fan itself is seazed and needs replacing . so i have gone ahead and ordered replacements on them both . but im ripping it open this weekend and any suggestions on what else it could be would really be helpful . also the oil lite comes on some times but goes back out . its not cause its hot either because some times it does it as soon as u start the engine. i called in and found out there is saposed to be 12 different sensors for the oil . the heck if i can find one . i tryed to get a mechanic to fix this stuff for me but everytime we send it in nothing gets done so here i am trying to fix it myself . scary cause i know little about cars little own about these kind of cars . but im a quike learner . anyways thanx for the help or at least for reading this .

There is perhaps a short in the wire harness which explains why the fuse always blows. i would also check to make sure your fan relay is good. that is located in the fuse box under the hood.

99 vw jettal 2.0 gas fuse 29 15amp fuse keeps blowing-no spark unpluged coil and fuse keeps blowing. help please

Thats the fuse for the ECU, engine control module, and is a 15amp for gas 2.0. i would locate the ECU which is under the center of the plenum in the engine compartment and disconnect the long plug. Check for green discoloration on the multipin connector. Sometimes moisture will get in there and short some of the pins together. Leave ECU unplugged and replace the fuse. If it still blows cause is between the fuse and the ECU.

The car over heats while idling then cools as you drive

its the radiator fan running? check the fuses.
if the radiator fan does not run when the car achieves certain temperature, then your temperature sensor maybe defective.
check if you have enough coolant.

94 intrepid keeps blowing rad fan fuse

the relays will not cause fuses to blow. you have a problem with the fan motor itself. replace that it should take care of your problem.

Main Cooling fan fuse keeps blowing.

Taking some of these things apart......

The temp gauge not registering a hot engine is a real bane on Zetec engines - check your coolant level before you do anything else. It may be that the system was airlocked when you filled it and that you got less coolant in than you thought you did.

It takes quite a short to blow a 50A fuse. First, make sure that the fan you've been looking at is actually the one protected by the fuse. Find out if there's anything else it protects. Check that all the fans/motors downstream of that fuse are free to turn (stalled fan motors are particularly good at blowing big fuses), and check all the cabling in between paying particular attention to places where wires pass close close the edges of parts that might chafe against them.
