I`ll look again tomorrow, but I only saw the resevoir on the firewall and the hyd line going into the tranny on drivers side. Nothing near it like a bleeder. Is there a 3rd divice ?

I looked everywhere under the dash for the EEC port but no sign of it. I don`t understand these new fangled vehicles. i`m old school. Clutch fork and rod. I`ll look again tomorrow if no rain.

Any diagrams available for bleeder or slave cyl.?

  • Jimbo59 Aug 29, 2008

Might have to. I have manuals from 1932 to 1980, but no 90`s

  • Jimbo59 Aug 29, 2008

Was told it has a 94 engine. But don`t know about same tranny or not. But put a new belt on and 94 was too big. 91 belt fit. Hmmmm ! Either way,it runs good and uses no oil. And about 26 MPG

First the bleeder will be located on the cylinder that is mounted on the transmission to engine connection by the bell housing. Second the port for this is located along the drivers side under the hood either by the fire wall or along the top of wheel well it will be marked with a grey cap labled EEC.

if you can't find a bleeder is it a cable operated clutch?if you can't find the EEC port it also might be under the dash by the center console

your best option is to go to Oreilly's or Napa and get a manual they are 20 dollars and have step by step instructions. i like to be hands on and sometimes it's easier if you can see from a book what you are looking at. i hope this helps you.

good luck. alot of times depending on the model and engine set up the layout can differ from the same 2 vehicles.

I have a94 ford ranger regular cab 2.3 l 4 speed with over drive it will start but won't engage has little to no clutch pressure but I can get it in gear after pumping my clutch what's my problem

First, I would check the fluid in the master cylinder for the hydraulic clutch. If it is low, top it off. If the fluid level is low, it means you will probably need either the master cylinder, the slave cylinder, or both. These vehicles are extremely hard to purge the air out of the hydraulic clutch system. If you have to replace the clutch slave cylinder, you may need a proffesional.

Clutch pedal goes to the floor and hard to into gear at times

Check The Fluid Level At The Resevour First. If Extremly Low You May Have To Bleed At Slave Cylinder On The Side Of Bell Housing. Bleeder Is The Same As A Brake Bleeder.8MM Or 5/16. Same Fluid DOT-3.

How do u blead a clutch in a 1992 ford escort 1.8

ani_caut.gif CAUTION: Be careful not to spill clutch fluid onto a painted surface.
  1. Remove the bleeder cap from the slave cylinder and attach a vinyl hose to the bleeder screw.
  1. Place the other end of the hose in a container.
  1. Slowly pump the clutch pedal several times.
  1. With the clutch pedal depressed, loosen the bleeder screw to release the fluid and air.
  1. Tighten the slave cylinder bleeder screw.
  1. Repeat steps 3 through 5 until no air bubbles appear in the fluid.
  1. Tighten the slave cylinder bleeder screw to 6-9 Nm (52-78 lb-in).

2003 Ford Ranger-5 Speed. At times is very hard to get into gear

Your clutch is not releasing all the way. (Assuming the problem is not internal to the transmission) Bleed the system. If that doesn't work, rebuild the clutch master cylinder and slave cylinder and bleed again.

Is it a bad Slave Cylinder or a Master Cylinder on my 95 F-150

did you try to take line off at slave cyl. and see if fluid comes from resavor? also take bleeder out and see if holes are pluged up in bleeder. if all this chks. out ok than its got to be slave cyl. they have been known to go bad. just that quick too.

Try to see past the slave hose and bleeder to see if you can see the slave work. Could it be stuck in the depressed position? Have a helper push the pedal while you watch. I think your tranny is broke.
