Question about 2006 Saturn Vue
The oil filter on these models is a by-pass model. If I remember
correctly, it is a Purolator 9018. It does not "look like an ordinary
oil filter. If you are facing the front of your engine. it is just to
the right of center, and down. It has a 32mm lug on top of the
container that hold the filter. Use a 12-24" socket extension with a
socket wrench to get it started. Once it is started, (remember, lefty
loosey, righty, tighty) then you can undo the rest of it by hand.
Pull the top completely off, the filter will still be attached. Pull
(yank) the old filer off the top housing, and install the new one.
Start the threads by hand, and tighten to 20"lbs (just past hand tight).
