Question about 2001 Volvo S60

2001 S60 Air blowing hot

I just bought an 01 s60 a few months ago and the a/c has always been EXTREMELY cold - and out of the blue - it started blowing hot air. My husband tried to charge with Freon - but its full. Any ideas on what the problem could be and how to fix it?

I just purchased a 2001 S60 and the compressor is fine and the freon is full. I'll bet it is the same problem. I hope so anyway. I will replace the suggested part and report back.

There may be a problem with the AC compressor pressure cycling switch, it turns the AC compressor on and off as required to maintain proper pressure in the system, it is located in the low side line (large AC line) under the hood, it will have 2 or 3 wires going to it.

check to see if your cooling fans are working because when they dont work, your air will blow nice and cold when driving but will be hot air when stopped in traffic.

I just bought an 01 S60 T5 im gonna do her first oil change but idk how many bottles of oil do i need?

Buy 6, but you're only going to use about 5 and a quarter of what you buy. Keep the rest in the trunk in case the engine leaks or burns oil - then you can fill it back up again.

2 vents blow semi cold aair and the other 2 blow hot air

You have a blend door issue under dash. Also possible blend door actuator motor may have failed. Try moving the mode select dial on control panel back and forth and listen for air sound change under dash at both sets of vents. If do not hear air flow change door is not moving.

Turn-signal doesn't always work without playing with it

Well, a problem like this does come up every once in a while.

First of all, you'll need to remove the airbag in the center of the steering wheel. And doing so is best left to having a Factory Service Manual to tell you how to disarm the air bag so it doesn't blow off while your servicing the unit. I don't know what country you are in, but here in the U.S., many of the larger libraries have the FSM's available to review and copy pertinent pages to the work we need to do on them.
