It started with the ABS and traction control light on, then the OD off light flashes once the car is on the highway and the speedometer becomes erradic at about over 40MPH. Ford recently changed the tranny because I had the OD light flashing, wondering if this is connected to the work they did?
Its a faulty sensor switch on your brakes master cylinder. It leaks brake fluid into the wires that are plugged into it and causes a short in the circuit, resulting in a blown fuse that controls the AC, odometer, speedometer, cruise control, and ABS light to come on. I have the same problem with my 2000 for windstar the ABS light went off after i changed an ABS sensor in the front left wheel bur the OD/off light still flashes. What could be the problem?
I brought it to be repaired they said there was a dead short somewhere, have any idea where and any similar cases of the same. Please respond, Thank you
My traction control is off, my abs light is on and my o/d is off and it just flashes. My speed meter goes crazy after 40 and it will take for ever to get to 20 mph. after 20 mph it will drive ok. I have a 1999 ford windstar LX. Can any one help me????
