Question about 1999 Volkswagen Passat
The local repair shop is going to charge me over $400.00 for parts and labor. This must be something I can do on a Saturday afternoon-- does anyone know how difficult it is to replace the windshield wiper motor on a 1999 Passat V6 GLS? Do I need any special tools?
All you have to do is take the cover off in between the hood and the windshield(not fun), then use a metric socket set(just make sure you have 8-18 cant remember which it is) pop out the motor on put the new one in. There are no Special tools, it's just time consuming. Probably about an hour and a half. Check the price on the wiper motor through NAPA online be sure you bring the VIN#
