Question about 1996 Isuzu Rodeo

1 Answer

Clutch My clutch feels like its stuck. It did this to me in March, not being able to afford a new clutch I just made it work. Then all the sudden in May, the clutch all the sudden works PERFECT and so I thought maybe there was just air in the line. Now all the sudden it has started doing it again. It feels as if the clutch is stuck and I can't get anything. Please help

How do I adjust the clutch on a 2002 VW Passat?

automatic clutch adjustment is in the cable ,this is not something you can repair, only course of action is a new clutch cable so take it back to garage that fitted clutch and ask nicely see if they diagnose the same problem .

I installed a complete clutch & Flywheel. I popped outta 1st gear & won't go into any gear whatsoever. Linkage & slave cylinder work! feels like it's going into gear but when i let clutch out nothing

Isolate the problem. Sound like clutch is stuck and not disengaging. Engine off put in gear and rock the vehicle,, with help from a friend press clutch pedal while in gear and have friend push, you will know if the tranny is ok and clutch is stuck. Now check the clutch, slave etc for engagment and disengagment / Clutch linkage- movement/travel may need adjustment or you have something wrong in the reassembly..

Replace clutch

A new clutch kit or clutch package has 3 major parts: a new clutch disc (the thin plate with the abrasive surface), a new or reconditioned clutch pressure plate, and a new clutch release bearing (aka, throw-out bearing). Approximately $200 for the package.
Some people have been known to change only the clutch disc (for about $30), and use their old pressure plate and throw-out bearing. Not recommended-same people have been known to have to go back sooner than later to then replace the pressure plate and release bearing. Do it all once, then you won't have to go back and re-do it.

Have you checked the hydraulic clutch operation? Before condemning the clutch disc for failure, make sure the hydraulic clutch cylinder causes the clutch fork or lever to have sufficient travel to engage the clutch when the pedal is depressed. Also check the clutch fluid reservoir for being full.

2005 Subaru Forester brakes feel stuck "on"

They may be if it sat too long you could have corrosion build up which will go away, Check your E brake and cable, it may need adjustments or was not replaced correctly during the clutch job

Car not going into gear

probably nothing wrong with the clutch or gear box
most likely that the clutch master cylinder and /or clutch slave cylinder has failed
replace both and bleed the system properly
If it turns out to be the clutch ( which I seriously doubt from your statement) you would need a clutch hydraulic system in good condition to handle the extra pressure for the new clutch pressure plate

Bought this 2001 honda S2000 in march had a blown engine replaced the crank shaft and the clutch. New clutch went out in less than three weeks. Had car back now for 5 weeks and clutch just went out again....

I know it is not you.
It is most certainly, the folks doing the work on your vehicle, that is a fact.
What work,in detail, is being done, and by whom?
You surely must find this incompetent at best.

Iam praying it not a dealer,I dislike them, but would expect, they could handle a clutch service.

Nissan Sentra won't move.

Most likly needs a new clutch. but before you do that make shore the clutch slave cylinder is releasing.Do this by opening the bleed screw on the clutch slave cylinder. If there is preasure released when you do his you may have a stuck master cylinder. Not likly but worth the trouble to try

The clutch wont engage on my 96 saturn

Your hydraulic clutch release has failed, it consists of a master cylinder and a slave cylinder, they will both have to be replaced.
