Hello ..my nissan primera seems to use alot of fuel ..averaging from 24.5 mpg to 27.5 mpg ....ive serviced the plugs and air filter but the results are the same ....auto factors say the fuel filter is not changed on that model ....any help would be great ..ps it has always felt sluggish ..its a 2002 1.6 primera
I could recommend a product I use on my own cars called SeaFoam. You can buy it at most autoparts stores like PepBoys and what it does is clean out alot of the carbon buildup, which improves gas milage and gets the engine running like new. Just follow the instructions on the back.

i would not consider that excessive,,,thats good,ALOT of MPG has to do with driving habits,,,also depends if the gas you are using has ethanol in it,that decreases gas miles but bruns better higher rating
You're going to have to figure out what's causing the misfire. The car is almost 10 years old, so change the plugs to start with. If you still have a misfire, go to auto zone and have them pull the codes to find out which cylinder is the issue. Then figure out fuel or spark? Coil or injector? Was there a lean code? Check for a vacuum leak. Change the fuel filter and air filter for maintanence. The cruise control may be another issue.
you have switched the trip computer to instantaneous fuel consumption rather than average.the switch on the end of the wiper stalk.press the switch until you get back to average consumption ,i think it shows a circle with a line through it from memory
