Question about 1989 Lincoln Town Car
Sorry sir my computer crashed on me last night i finally got it going again . now you have the 1989 lincon towncar. darn i thoutht it said 1999 last night. anyways no problem, that year they did not have a relay for the starter . what they had was a starter solenoid located on either the fire wall or the fender, just follow the wires from the starter up to the solenoid im betting 10 to 1 your problem is in that nifty device. now you can check it to make sure it is the problem with a screwdriver just take the little wire (it just plugs to it no nuts holding it on ) and touch it with the screwdriver now at the same time touch( while still touching the little probe)the large wire (coming from the battery) if nothing happens then the solenoid is bad, just for grins to see if the starter is working touch both big terminal at the same time and watch her spin over if it doesnt then starter is bad or the battery is dead good luck and sorry for the delay i appreciate your patience

The fuel pump relay is located Under hood, driver side, upper firewall, mounted in
The fuse is located under the instrument panel to the left of the steering column. The fuse block should be visible from underneath the steering column, near the pedal bracket. If the panel is not visible, check for a removable compartment door or trim panel which may be used on later models to hide the block.
