I have an 2006 hummer h3 with a 3.5 in it and it smells like gas but there are no leaks and no codes

Inspect all of your fuel lines for a possible leak. Take notice of the spot where you park to see if there are any wet spots. If there are it will give you an idea of the area to inspect

Where is the fuel tank located? where is the fuel injector located?

Fuel tank is at the rear of the car below the filler and almost full width of your vehicle.

Fuel injectors are under the hood.

Your smell of gas is probably a leaking fuel pipe or a connector somewhere. The fuel is supplied under pressure from the tank to the injectors and then the fuel that is not needed is returned to the tank. Look under the vehicle for a group of pipes that are rusty and wet under the drivers floor well. That is certainly what happened to our Pontiac Sunbird.

Jingling sound from front of engine

Don't worry about the sound, Find the gas leak. Fuel lines come in on the drivers side. Then you have the injectors. on the fuel rail. on the fuel rail there is a pressure regulator. All this needs checked. Fuel lines on the engine are metal. BUT coming up to the metal lines, they are plastic. LOOK for wet spots.. FIX them. The regulator is on the fuel rail/ with the injectors. LOOK for wet spot at these locations also... There are also other locations under the car to find gas leaks....Fix this first...

I have a gas smell in rear on ford taurus sometimes

first after your car has been sitting over night move it then look at the driveway where it had been sitting if you see fresh fuel then look under the rear of the car to see if you see any fuel dripping,if you do get your car somewhere to get a mechanic look at as soon as possible..

Fuel smell

Open the hood and locate the return hose, there must be a leakage somewhere there.

Good luck.

Loosing fuel but not visible in my 2000 Ford Expedition, also oil gauge seems to be reading high.

Did you fix the trouble Codes? Both are fuel related. There is a test done with a special machine called a "Smoke test". This could also find out if there are holes in your fuel tank and where.

The failure of your system to maintain Vacuum pressure is a good indication the fuel system has an opening.

1989 honda prelude si. Automatic, shakes real bad when stopped.has no power, pedal to floor barely goes over 30 mph. Smells of fuel,i removed the cat now car, starts at least, but still wants to die and rough...

If the shaking has been progressively getting worse i would start by checking the engine and transmission mounts for rips or tears. Smelling fuel and major loss of power would suggest that you have a fuel leak somewhere. The sending unit its self is a culprit that can be hard to locate so if in doubt check it as well.

My car has about 85,000 miles and it smells too much like gasoline what could cause that?

From the sound of it you have a fuel leak somewhere. I have seen this to be the fuel pressure regulator under the hood on the fuel rail that leaks. If not, then you will have to locate the cause of the leak and have it repaired.

Smells like gasoline

Hi,
Sounds like you have a leak somewhere.
Could either be on one of the fuel lines / unions or on the tank.
The fact that you had just filled it up makes me think that it is probably on the tank or filler line.
Have a good look around in these areas to see if you can locate where it is coming from and take it from there.
Hope this helps.

Flooding out. using lots of fuel. black smoke

you could have a bad injector spider if the truck is vortec,if not look to the idle air control valve if this part is bad it won't get the right amount of air and flood the truck out, hints why you are smelling fuel, also look at to o2 sensor if this is bad the computer won't adjust the timing another reason you're smelling fuel . hope this helps you and good luck!
