Any parts store can sell you the plugs for that vehicle. The main ones are NGK and Nipendenso. The retailer can also provide you with the proper gap.
Note; I've always found Autolite or Champion Platimun to work best, thats what we run in our company vehicles.

A-Open the driver’s door. B-Insert key into ignition. C-Turn the ignition switch to the ACC position and then to the LOCK position three times. (This step must be completed within 3 seconds – go as fast as you can, or the system will not enter the programming mode.) D- Within 10 seconds, close and open the door two times. E-Turn the ignition switch to the ACC position and then to the LOCK position three times (again, do this within 3 seconds.) F-Within 10 seconds, close and open the door. Verify that the power door locks cycle once to confirm that the system is in programming mode. G-Within 20 seconds, press the LOCK button on the transmitter you are programming. Verify that the door locks cycle once. H-Within 20 seconds, press the UNLOCK button on the transmitter. Verify that the door locks cycle once to confirm that the system has accepted the transmitter’s code. I-Repeat steps 7 and 8 for each transmitter to be added. Remove key from ignition.
you will need the key code to cut new keys,an isuzu dealer would probaly be the only one that could get the key code with the VIN number.even at a dealership getting key code and cutting new keys will not cost much,this may not be easy most places only store the last ten years of key codes.if a dealer can not help you go to a junkyard find an 1986 trooper that has keys for it and buy the ign cylinder and keys and install in your unit.(sorry about your dad).
