2001 beetle how do I change the taillight bulbs ?? I also have constant headlight burnouts.

Is it the bulb or the connection?? I have a 2006 that has a problem with the passanger side headlamp, but have identified the connector as the problem.

You change the taillight bulbs through the trunk of your vehicle. also, the headlights are a constant problem with beetles (prepare to replace them often).

check inside the head light there is big plastic nut remove then push out headlight remove cover you can see bulb inside . after replace return by same way ,

only one way and thats to remove the front bumper ,you cannot get to the back of the light to change the bulbs

open hood and head light bulb should be on the back of the head light casing just twist the socket to take out ,replace bulb and twist back in

Both headlights stopped working. fuses are ok and highbeams work


check the headlight bulbs, it's quite possible they are both burnt out.

2001 VW Beetle Tail Light Repair


there is a plastic circle inside the car....pop out the side you need to replace...unscrew the bolt and the whole taillight will pop out of the body, replace the bulb then do the same to put it back together
