Most common cause is a leak in the dome cover gasket. Oil seeps out from the gasket and eventually burns off on the manifold.

yes i have the same problem, mine thus not end only with the smell,it continues with a drastic shortage of the engine oil,wht might be the problem.

the most common repair is changing your dome cover gasket to prevent oil from seeping out. this repair fixes the majority of oil leaks under the hood.

Where is the map sensor located on a 2001 hyundai accent gs?

Your engine has likely worn out. You are describing the situation when the piston rings are so heavily worn that gas pressure forces itself into the engine sump, pressurizing the lower oil case, and forcing itself into the evaporation system, which then makes its way to the air filter housing.

I advise doing a compression check on the engine at your local garage and repairing or replacing the engine if necessary.

I have a 2002 hundai accent , drove car approx 15miles with radiator steaming to shop. replaced radiator. now needs o2 heat sensor and I!m smelling a sweet type coolant smell, but very little and its...

the sweet smell is the motor burning off the residual coolant on the components that got sprayed with coolant.if the car got overheated enough it may have damaged the head gasket and is now burning oil due to the over heating.or there is a mechanical problem due to the overheating(ring problem, valve problem, etc.)if its burning oil then it can cause an 02 problem as the sensor will get coated with what ever is coming out of the exhaust.the heat sensor is part of the 02 sensor that warms the sensor up so the computer will go into closed loop sooner and help with fuel mileage.

Hyundai 2001 Accent Code - P0130 also shows 02 circuit, bank 1 sensor 1 Car seems to be running fine Emile

I think this is the O2 sensor - It will run fine but you might notice your gas mileage slipping and will not pass emissions.

Is this happening at cold start or is it happening all the time? When did this start happening? Was it "all of a sudden" or a gradual thing that is getting worse. Let me know.
