1994 Magna, There wasn't a magna in the drop down menu!! Car overheating, I noticed the two fans aren't spinning. Are the fans supposed to spin all the time or just when it gets to a certain temperature? What are some other causes for overheating?

Overheating

Could be a number of things,
Do you have heat from the heaters?
Do you have any coolant loss?
If so i'd get a Cylinder leakage test done (compression test) as it could be a head gasket problem.

The engine is getting hot but not overheating

You do not use any vehicle that is loosing coolant or overheats

Have it diagnosed

My guess would be a bad head gasket, water has to go somewhere

I have a Mitsubishi magna 2001 model and I'm having computer problems the battery symbol keeps flashing and it keep stalling and won't idall properly

You need to have the Alternator tested, the battery symbol indicates the system voltage is low. The other problems are due to the low voltage.

Why mitsubishi magna 1994 shows battery sign when running?

Malfunction in the charging system. Have your alternator tested, it's probably bad. Do it soon or your battery won't have enough charge to start the car.

How do u take off a fan belt on a 1997 magna??

Hooters2810,
Depends on why you want to remove it.
If for instance you have a siezed alternator preventing the starter motor from starting the engine, (not uncommon), - and you just want to "get the Magna home from the shops", or get to the nearest repair shop, do what the Australian Road Service operarors do, and cut it off with a pair of cable sheers or a sharp trimming knife. Watch the temperature guage on the way home though. Shut it down and park it somewhere to let it cool completely before starting out again as soon as the temperature gets above your normal running temperature. Without the fan and waterpump running, the engine temperature will skyrocket, and you'll be up for replacement if you cook it.
Cheers

If you are needing to replace it yourself, - you've got quite a bit of dismantling work to get it out, and a new one in. If you haven't done this sort of thing before, - get a service manual, and definitely don't attempt this with a hot engine. You'll burn yourself.
Cheers

1994 magna 2.6 L engine shutters slightly when idling in drive but ok when in park or reverse

Possibly when the radiator fan kicks on it robs a little power from the engine causing it to shutter a little. When the engine is in park the RPM is higher thus when the fan comes on it doesnt cause much of a load on the engine.Just open the hood as someone starts the car, puts it in park and feel for the fan to come on and see if it's causing the engine to shutter

Help with my mitsubishi magna 1994

Could be a few things. If you check radiator fan and its ok move down to the thermal power switch usualy at the bottom of the radiator.Make sure you have power in and out of the swich when the engine is at operating temp.Use a test light/probe easy to use and cheap to buy.If the switch is ok the next step is the relay in the box with lid next to the battery.Sometimes just pulling the relay out and putting back in will fix the problem due to poor contact. To sum up its usualy the thermal temp switch but check every thing else before wasting money on the wrong things.Good luck
