I have a 1995 Olds Cutlass Supreme SL and when you turn the ignition off the care continues to run. Sometimes it will die within minutes and others it will sit and idle for a couple of hours. I have changed the ignition switch module and replaced the battery posts to no avail. It is also overheating and I have flushed the radiator and changed the thermostat. Can someone please help me solve these issues.

There is a red wire close to the battery in the front. It's not connected to anything. Apply positive voltage and that will run your pump for testing purposes.

Have you considered a worn out ignition switch?

Sounds like a bad ignition switch. A worn switch won't either engage or in your case disengage when the key is turned.

My 1995 Olds Cutlass Supreme SL just died and quit working, what could be the problem? Have replaced the coil pack.

Does it crank over at all? or just nothing when you turn the key? Do all the electronics still work in car?

On my 1995 olds cutlass supreme, both rear brake lights dont work simultaneously, then sometimes they do, checked fuses but they are ok, bulbs are still good, what could be wrong?

Check switch at brake pedal and relay in fusebox. Recommend replace brake light relay, as inexpensive way to possible solution.

Was the electrical ignition switch attached to the transmission changed? It is attached by the shift cable. If the contacts in that are worn or burnt it will continously run as you state
