Question about 1999 Porsche Boxster

1 Answer

How the heck do I adjust the radio sounds (Bass/Treble)??

My Boss has a 99 Boxster. Supposedly has a fabulous sound system but he cannot figure how to adjust the sound (Bass/Treble). I hear the radio is hard enough to find. He didnt get a book with the car when he bought it. I havent looked at it myself

Sorry for the elementary question

In newer sound systems they usually have an button that says audio with push of the button it should give you options of adjusting balance fade bass treble etc.

I have a KD R840BT in my 03 Pontiac Sunfire- I need some help as to what the settings should be at to get the best overall sound.. I don't have any subs etc in car / but I do have AM Tweeters. Ty!

Sound quality is subjective. What sounds good to me may not sound good to you. Always try to cut bass/treble settings when possible rather than boost. The best way to tine a stereo without any fancy equipment is to use a high quality copy of a song you are familiar with then adjust the settings appropriatley.

When i change stations on my radio it changes all the settings on bass and tremble on my 2007 grand prix?

Hi Nick,

Your radio might save the bass & treble settings with each station. Try choosing a station, set the bass, treble and any other variables (mid-range, etc.) and then SAVE the station to a button. Do this for all of the buttons / stations you like.

If this doesn't solve the problem, tell us about the radio (AM/FM/Cassette/CD and Factory or aftermarket - in which case we'll need to know the make and model of the radio.

I just bought a used 2005 XC90 volvo and the 6 disc CD changer/radio will not work, you can turn it on but it goes off in less than a minute it also has no sound at all, you can adjust treble, bass,go to...

Possible fault in the optical head unit. You can remove and clean the lens eye to have a final word.
If the loading is happening without the dettecction or the rotation of the disc ,this is for a sure a possibility.
I would advice that you remove the set clean up , check on the connectors and reset.
If fault repeats get opinion before changing the head unit.

I've got a 1999 ford expedition with the Mach radio system in it and it does not have any bass playing thru the front or back speakers and i've changed out the factory amp thats in the back where the sub...

does the new amp you have have a hpf setting if so check to see if thats on, turn off the x-over so it will play both lpf and hpf, bass and treble. are all the speakers wired to the amp aswell, this is the only thing that would stop bass other than the head units settings.

The lights were left on on my 01 dodge stratus. I

Check fuse #5 10 amp in the junction block inside the car
also check fuse #14 10 amp in the junction block and fuse #4 15 amp in the junction block.

If the fuses are good, try this reset process...

You may have a code or a problem with your body control module. try disconnecting the battery turn the key to the run position let sit for 10 minutes then turn key off and reconnect the battery this will reset all the modules in the car back to factory settings.

How do you adjust bass treble front and rear parameters? have no manual

With the radio on, try pressing the right round knob, each press will select another function, that you can then adjust by turning the knob.

Try downloading an electronic manual from Jeep's website...

Radio bass, treble control knob does not work and feels loose

you have two choices. either replace the radio. or open the radio up and tighten the 11mm set nut behind the face to restore the operation of the loose knob.
