Question about 2000 Nissan Altima
I know this is really weird. My fiance has a Nissan Altima, and everything works fine in the summer. However, the past winter we started noticing something weird. When moving the gear to 'R', at times the car would not respond, you can't feel the **** at all (this is an automatic car at all) . Its like as if the car is on Nuetral. I see the car moving back, but extremely unnoticable. It seems to work after around 5 mins (could be after the engine is all warmed up).
I don't know if its the transmittion, it worked fine all summer.
When was the transmission fluid and filter changed last? Could be that the fluid is dirty and the valve for the reverse gear is blocked. Let me know how you make out.
