Question about 1994 Pontiac Grand Prix

1 Answer

Continuous blowing of brake light fuse, hence, no brake lights...lol

I have a 1994 Pontiac Grand Prix GTP, I've noticed that the brake lights are no longer working in the car, keeps blowing the fuse, I've inspected all brake lights and wiring, everything looks on the up n up... Any ideas what to do, or any previous issues of this problem?...

Alright, I'll give that a shot, would you happen to know exactly what it's called?...

Thanks a lot for your help and time...

My 94 Grand Prix is continuously blowing the brake light fuse, I've replaced the switch, bulbs, checked the wiring, nothing... It seems to do just fine when sitting, but once you begin driving and steering, the fuse blows within a couple of blocks... Any ideas?....

There is a micro switch behind your brake pedal that activates the lights when you push the pedal. it will create a short if it's faulty

Traction control light coming on on my 2005 pontiac grand prix gtp on first take off

No different than the last vehicle problem you had

Need to check for codes & diagnose the system with
the fault & find a problem & make the repairs

Trac Control is part of the ABS Braking System & may need professional tools, to get that modules codes,so save your time for free checking at the parts store, to be told nothing of value there

2002 Pontiac Grand Prix GTP / Multi-function Switch

i have the sameproblem. Dealer part was quoted to me at $510.00. All after market parts stores were $350- 450. Try moving the emerg. flasher button while you step on the brakes and someone else watches the lights. I jammed paper beside the button and they work until I can fix it.I had to order the multi-function switch. and you have to pull the air bags to replace it.
