After starting my caprice, it doesnt take long for it to over heat and the water begin to boil over. I think maybe there is a plug somewhere in the radiator.

First thing to do is change the thermostat. That will probably solve the problem. If not, make sure the rad fan is working, and then the next thing is the waterpump.

Why is lower radiator hose cold when motor is at operating temperature?

Ensure thermostat is installed right side up or it wont allow proper flow. If thermostat is correct other problems could be Air in cooling system, low coolant level, plugged rad internal, water pump failure, coolant flow valve stuck, internal engine combustion leak to cooling system.

My fiat palio 16 valve, its boiling I took the themostat out but its still boiling and the fan is running properly I was thinking maybe my water pump is not circulating the water!

I'm thinking you have a head gasket problem
have a compression test done
put a new thermostat back in the right way
(removing a thermostat allows the coolant to flow to fast to exchange the heat to the air passing through the radiator
check for blocked radiator

Why does the engine generate so much heat

To begin with combustion generates 500-600 degrees with every explosion in each cylinder with each spark of a spark plug. The radiator cooling system tries to reduce that heat to 185 to 210 degrees depending on the design of the engine. water boils at 220 degrees if that gives you a point of reference and a match flame is 325 degrees. Skin burn damage begins at 104 degrees. Scalding at 120. Hope that answers your question.

Can my 1999 Cadillac Seville concourse overheat by mixing too much water with antifreeze??

Theoretically yes. Antifreeze has a higher heat capacity than water. Basically, a liter of antifreeze can hold more heat than a liter of water. I dont think it would be enough to cause an overheat though

I have a lincoln ls 2000 and where i put the water in it boils really hot what can this mean

I'm thinking a possible stuck or partially stuck thermostat as the easiest and least expensive fix.
There could be an obstruction somewhere if its not the thermostat...maybe a back flush is in order as well.

Hope this helps...

The water boils out of the coolant surge tank, and also is over heating

try change out thermostat maybe staying shut-radiator fins plugged wash out outside with hose and water. radiator may be plugged in cooling tubes flush out cooling system-check fan and water pump belt-fan bearings or water pump could be going bad and not moving water

I have a 2006 Suzuki Forenza that has a water leak

Hi Hit,

Before doing anything yourself to the vehicle, definitely check the coverage of the warranty. Maybe on of my fellow experts has the details on that.

If it turns out to not be covered, here is an inexpensive fix. Get an egg. (I'm serious, I have done this and seen it work with my own eyes, so hear me out)

With the engine cool, break the egg (not the shell) so it goes into the radiator. Top it off with water and cap it.

Start the engine and let it run until it's thoroughly warmed up.

As the water heats up, so does pressure. Water will begin to shoot out of the pinhole you described.

At the same time the water will begin to cook and hard boil the egg causing it to solidify.

As the coolant circulates, eventually one of these pieces of egg will be caught in the escaping flow of water and jamb up against the hole. As the pressure becomes greater, it will be partially expelled through the hole. As the heat cooks it more, it expands more and becomes leathery forming an effective plug.

Keep in mind, by the time the egg has made one trip through the water pump, it's in a thousand pieces. Small enough not to inhibit the radiators function, large enough to plug the hole.

Hope you find this very helpful

Mike
