A bad alternator wont shut off a car it sounds like a coil pack iginition problem...or bad fuel pump... u need to have a spark test an a fuel pressure test done at a qualified service station

Hello.....Take your car right away to an auto parts store and have them to check your charging system....sounds like your alternator may not be charging properly.....Let me know what happens...I hope this was helpful....PEACE
May have an alternator issue, it may not be charging your battery. Drive to Advance Auto or Auto Zone, or O'Reillys and they will check your battery, alternator and starter for free.
it is probably the alternator. When the car is running the batteries primary funcion is to power accessories and other electronic functions. Once the car is starrted the alternator takes over and powers the engine and keeps the battery charged. If you can drive it to autozone they will check your battery and alternator for free.
You are definately not charging. Have you lost your alternator belt? If not, then yes, your alternator is probably bad. After you connected the new battery, did the problem stop? The reason I ask, is if you have a bad connection the battery can't charge properly. You can have your alternator tested for free at Advance or Auto Zone. Good Luck. Hope this helps!
Is your fuel pump working & if it is when did you change the fuel filter last? Did you move fuel line close to a heat source? I.E. exhaust manifold rad hoses etc. You could be experiencing vapour lock. Insolate fuel line with fuel line protecter material.
You have an Alternator or alternator connector issue, have Auto Zone or Kragen test the charging system, it is free, most likely the alt will need to be replaced.
