Question about 2005 Pontiac GTO

2005 PONTIAC GTO gas pedal electrical plug

Have a 2005 Pontiac GTO with the drive by wire gas pedal. There is a six wire plug that plugs into it. That plug got the wires ripped out of it. I need to know what order the wires were in originally in that plug. There is a red, lt. blue, dk. blue, violet, black and orange. This plug is arranged with the wires in a long, narrow oblong plug with the wires side by side. Any one can help?

Thanks for the help. You are right on as far as what the GTO connector should be. We have, since posting, found out we did not get a 2005 GTO engine/trans/loom combo we purchased but a Corvette LS2 combo. The connector at the drive by wire gas pedal and the wire color is different than the GTO. We now have the info we needed. Again, thanks for your time and help!

2005 pontiac GTO - Oil change light came on. I change the oil and filter, it took almost seven Quarts. Drain it by jacking up the left side, right side and back of car. I then tried to reset the the change...

no need to fear, this is a common problem. all you need to do is turn the key to the on position, push the pedal three times, then turn key to the off lock position. this is a typo in the manual. not sure why they have not corrected this issue. hope this helps.

I have a set of seat from a 05 GTO I put in a 67 GTO, I cant make the seats move electricly hwats the fix.

If the seat controls are located on the seat itself, just hooking up the proper positive and negative power wires to the seat electrical wires should be good enough to get them moving.

I have a 2005 GTO and the brake light remains illuminated. I replaced the bulb and the problem remains. Fuses are all good. What could be causing the brake light to remain on?

Probably just a fault - get a maintenance check they'll plug a little box into your car and it will come up with the exact problem.

You will need what is called an oil vacuum pump. They are not very expensive (around $20-$30 US) & are usually available at your local auto parts outlet. They are basically an oversized syringe with a flexible rubber or plastic tube instead of a solid steel probe & will usually hold about a metric litre. Hand operated. Use this to withdraw as much oil as you can from the Diff, it is impossible to get every drop. You will also find it handy to refill the diff, but flush it out first with kero or diesel. I also recommend draining all you can in one step, then waiting 1/2 an hour to 45mins and doing it again to get the last bit.
