Common issue. Remove the heater fan, and extract the rodent nest. There is really no way to prevent this from reoccurring.

My 2001 toyota sequoia smells like a burning smell when i turn on the ac what is it?

You most likely have leaves or a field mouse nest in the ducting and they are smoking when they get on the AC blower motor speed control resistor it is very hot. You can start a fire so have the blower motor removed and the leaves and or mouse nests cleaned out.

My Ford Freestar had a mouse nest in the airconditioner. Had it removes and the back bumper vents plugged. Have another dead mouse. How are they getting in? How do you remove the door panels to find them?

Unfortunately, they could be getting into your vehicle any number of ways since they can chew through pretty much anything...

For the door panels, you can remove screws that are by the door handle, arm rest, under door and side of door and then gently pull back on the panel as there will also be retaining clips attached and you don't want to break them. You'll need to lift the door panel upwards in order to get it off the window ledge.

Dirt dobbers building nest car airconditioner blocking water from escaping. Know anything I can use to discourage the little buggers. This has happened twice in three months

You could try cutting the hose back and use a kitchen grade metal mesh food strainer and RTV the top to the fire wall. Cut the metal handle off if you need to. That will keep them out of the hose and allow the water to flow out. A strainer about 3 to 5 inch diameter should do.

2005 - mouse nest in my dashboard behind my glovebox

bxhgb8pasmsfw-medium.jpg trying to get a step by step for ya. Hopefully the pic shows the seperate piece. I laugh because my wife use to park under a tree and the ants nested in manyof the relays and shut the vehicle down. towed it and was scratchin my head before I figure out what happened. I think the first step is getting rid of the pests. Then get in there and clean it up.

It's under the glove box by your feet. Should just be three screws and it will fall right out.
