Question about 1993 Nissan 300ZX
Engine starts and runs at idle 850 or so for 1 minute. Then it drops to about 400 goes funk.funk,funk. and goes back up to 850 and repeats this process. no trouble codes. also stumbles till 2500 no load.
Your Idle Air Control Valve is at fault. These never set a code when they fail and they always fail.
Check this item out on eBay.
They aren't usually this expensive so search the net and you should find a much better deal.
You shouldn't need to worry about the gasket when replacing this. They usually don't tear and stick to the manifold. If it does tear though you should replace it
