T urn signal flasher does not flash on my 1996 chevy blazer

bad multi-function switch

make sure your 4way emegency flashers are not turned on... and if they are... then your 4ways' fuse should be checked and replaced.

find your owners manual, use it to find your fuse panel, read the legend and locate the turn signal flasher and the emergency flasher, exchange them as they are identical. make a mental note to drop by a car parts store and pick up a replacement some day. when you get the replacement, put it in the signal flasher socket and put the old one back into the emergency flasher socket.

you are describing a typical turn signal switch problem, all those systems run through this switch, its about a 110 dollar part

Do the lights turn on on the dash when you signal left or right?

Do the four way flashers work?

If no to either of these check the turn signal flasher module.

Someone at chevy needs to be slapped over this one. The turn signal flasher switch probably went bad. But this vehicle is different from other vehicles, and from common sense. The hazard and turn signal flasher are not in the fuse box, they are in the middle of the dashboard, just under the radio. You have to take out the screws on the lower dashboard panel, bend it back and finagle the flasher switches out. They are round and plug straight in. The turn signal one is on the driver side. I had the same problem and lost a lot of hair figuring out where they were. Good luck.

There may be a seperate flasher relay for the turn signals. usually located around the fuse block.

Locate signal flasher & swap with hazard & see if the opposite occurs, if it does, replace flasher.

yes it is the same. the problem is most likely the turn signal switch which is located on the steering column. be sure to check all fuses, relays, and bulbs first. keep me posted thanks
