I went to my computer. I called a parts store. I called a Buick dealer. I PAID someone on-line with my credit card for help. I then had to put an in-line toggle switch on the new heater motor. It's not right but at least I've got heat. If I claimed to be a mechanic and charged people I would at least know what I talked about .

Yes by the way, it DOES have automatic temp control. It's laid out . It's a 93 LaSabre LTD. And the blower motor is NOT under the dash . It's in the fire-wall under the hood. Was this car made in Japan ? ? ? Maybe Mexico or Iran ....

You need to take the motor back and get it retested cause something may of happened in transit from the store to your home and if that don`t work make sure all wires are connected correctly and acuratley, and if there are fuses that lead or support the device they need to be checked also check for secure grounds and please make sure that it really is the motor for that car.

Did you check to see if is the blower resistor for the fan. Sometimes they go out one step at a time or all at once.

Location of the resister for the heater fan 350 ford 2006

Its under dash panel.

HEATER BLOWER MOTOR

Its faulty blower motor resistor. The low and medium speed on blower motor is controlled by resistor and its actual speed is high. So because resistor is not working, blower motors actual speed which is high is working.

It can be faulty blower motor or faulty blower motor resistor. Get the blower motor inspected. If it's faulty it has to be replaced.

How do u replace a heater blower on a 1996 gmc jimmy

it is located under the hood on the right side in the fire wall. there is a cover over it you need to remove first to access it. unplug the fan motor and remove that cover. then there are small screws holding the fan in that you need to remove then you can pull the old motor out and transfer the wheel to your new motor and reinstall. here a picture to aid you. hope this helpsonetufshoppe_109.gif

FIRST THING MAKE SURE YOU CHECK ALL FUSES UNDER DASH AND IN POWER DISTRIBUTOIN BOX UNDER HOOD LET ME KNOW TAKE TEST LIGHT SEE IF ANY VOLTAGE ON MOTOR IF SO BAD MOTOR IF NO VOLTAGE THEN LOCATE THE BLOWER MOTOR RESISTOR FOR SPEED CONTROL....COMMON PROBLEM... THIS COULD BE LOCATED UNDER DASH ON PASSENGER SIDE IN THE HEATER CORE BOX OR UNDER HOOD PASSENGER SIDE NEAR FIRE WALL...THEY ARE ALSO COMMON FOR BURNING OPEN CAUSING NO FAN

I hat the same problem last week it was the blower motor resistor. Picked one up at Auto Zone but they are tricky to replace since it is on the passanger side up against the fire-wall.
