This idea won't work. Mercedes-Benz are the most electronically complex vehicles on the market today. The radio is part of the computer system network and any interference will cause issues.
Every radio has a different code. You will have to contact a Mercedes-Benz dealer to get the code for your particular radio. It MAY require removal of the radio to get the serial number.
