Question about Chevrolet Suburban 1500

1 Answer

My suburban is a 95 5.7 liter. When I put it in drive and stars to roll it tends to hesitate like it loosess power it does not respond when I hit the gas padle it takes a few seconds to respond so when you'r riding slowly like 5 mph on bunps or bad roads the idle goes down and up.

I was having the same problem, then it just "seemed" to fix it's self until about 3 weeks ago, and it stalled, I checked the sensors and the O2 did come up, so we change it, along with the spark plugs. Still couldn't keep it running for 5 minutes, then we noticed one of the injectors wasn't supplying any or just a dribble of fuel. We will be replacing that tomorrow... I'll let you know if this fixed the problem.

You might want to check your throttle position sensor or or it could be a a fuel pressure sensor on the injector rail. however if your check engine light is on...your O2 sensor might be bad. this is just a first step. chances are you will find that most fuel related problems are due to a clogged fuel filter or a weak fuel pump, but i would start with a sensor diagnostic first since the engine seems to have no problems starting.

When do I use the d 5 gear in in 2003 acura tl 3.2 liter

the car is quicker in d-4, but d-5 is like a overdrive on the open highway. good-day!! D4 for me unless I'm on the highway doing 55+. I think the car drives better in D4. I tend to get some hesitation between 30-50 in D5.

Need to put a new tranny in my suburban,95' 2 wheel drive

Your suburban should have a 4L60E transmission if it a 1/2 ton C1500. Mine is a 4 wheel drive, but it is the same transmission except for the tail shaft to accomodate the transfer case. The 3/4 ton trucks came with a 4L80E.
