Question about 2005 Kia Amanti
The side mirrors on my 05 Amanti will not stay in their fixed positons after the car is turned off. Everytime I get back in my car, the mirrors or angled somewhere other than where I lift them. I have to reset the mirrors everytime I get back in and start the engine. They seem to move or float off their positions when setting idle when engine is turned off. I called the KIA dealer where I bought the car to take it back for them to look at since it is still under the 60,000 mile warranty. The service mg. right off tried to tell me that it is a programing problems with the computer, and therefore it will not be covered uner the warranty and I will have to pay between $75.00 to $120.00 for them to fix it.
Is there any information or way that I can have them check this without me paying this fee under the warranty.??????
I've noticed a similar problem. Try manually setting the mirrors and seat and then set them as setting one or two on the memory. When you get out, hit the lock button on the key-less remote (in lieu of the lock button on the door) and see if that locks them in for you.
