Question about 2001 Nissan Altima
Hi, it sounds like you know your cars. The altima I have is older than the one I read about having a similar problem (you responded to someone else's question) with the air intake manifold leak. If this has already been checked with carburetor cleaner and there was no change in the engine what do you suggest? Would this even be an item to check for the same problem in a '97 model? Thanks, Josh. email@example.com
Yes. i would perform the same test on a 1997 altima. those had the same problem with the intake manifold gasket leaking. the gasket will brake and you will have a leak.nissan didn't change the gasket. the same gasket is beeing used on 1997 and the 2001. do the carb cleaner test and let me know how it responds to some carb cleaner.
