Question about 1995 Chevrolet Astro
The van will start sometimes......other times it won't. When this problem first started I got it jumped and it started right up. Then I went to fuel the van stopped again and wouldnt start called a tow company to come jump start it thinking it was the battery but jumping it didn't work this time. I asked a mechanic and was told it was the fuel pump personally that dont make sense to me but if someone could please get back to me with any additional information thank you in advance!
Most GMs have a 2 stage fuel pressure system. Where for examplt it requires 60+ PSI for startup and then around 45 PSI to run the engine. Give you GM dealer a call for the specs, most dealers would be happy to assist you, and then again most will not. Good Luck.

Could be the fuel pump relay. Make sure the relay is getting constant power and contacts are not corroded.

The fuel pump might be going out. Did that mechanic do a fuel pressure test/tests? Sometimes the pump might be acting up when it's going out. Off hand, I don't know what it could be.
