2002 chev impala , while driving sometimes the door locks sometimes start locking and unlocking. why is this happening.

If you have a lock/unlock button on the driver's door, the wires that hook to it run through a rubber boot at the door hinge area, and flex each time the door moves. A cracked wire can cause this, as can a bad door lock relay.

I would sugest one of the locks is sticky. Try locking / unlocking doors one at a time at the buttons & check for any resistance to narrow down witch lock to look at.

I have a 2003 PT LImited. The door locks intermittantly lock-unlock lock-ulock, lock-unlock several times regardless of speed, it happens while idling, driving forward, and backing up. About a year ago...

The RKEM (remote keyless entry module) is the problem.
Only a DRB-III scanner can program the transmitter codes and VIN number to remedy this problem....I hope this helps.

My four drive lights flash like a Christmas tree, the RPM's race by themself, the door locks lock and unlock by themselves. Not all the time but it does happen. Why?

Double check your ground connections and the charging system voltage. These had problems with the alternators getting wet and causing issue. Also GM products had issues with the side post batteries. Clean and snug is key.

Ford falcon locks

Dude, the same thing happened with my EL falcon. It turned out to be the key fob! The buttons were sometimes sticking and all of a sudden it would re-lock. Ususally it would unlock then immediately relock. Leaving no time to get into the the car. Sometimes we would be driving and the Alarm would go off without touching a thing. I ditched the Key Fob and all was well again.
I hope this helps

There is a Plug between the door and engine bay, it accessible through the speaker hole, but it comes loose so all prongs are not connected, thats why it works partially. should be an easy push to get em working.

Power door locks

i would look at the backside of the power door lock switch for corrosion on the contacts (pins) and also the harness wires for the connector. Maybe the switch itself is just going bad.Honestly sounds like you have a shorted power wire that is touching just right with the vibration of the car. Probably is why it happens when you are driving.
Good luck
