My 2002 Mitsubishi Lancer has really squeaky suspension in the back. It started out as a small squeak on just the back right tire. But now both tires squeak all the time and its really obnoxious. What could this be?

Sounds like your suspension bushing are going bad. Depending on the age of the vehicle, these parts are made of rubber and wear out. They begin rubbing the metal together and can causing a squeaky sound from usually the front suspension. Might be a good idea to have a respectable alignment shop double check this solution. They can show you exactly what the problem is being caused by. It is pretty much a normal issue with older vehicles to need these rubber suspension parts replaced. They can cause alignments to start wearing tires faster and other steering components to wear out prematurely.
I have same problem with my 01 T&C and finally determined it was fuel tank being sucked up into itself by EVAP system malfunctioning.Still trying to diagnose specific cause.....I thought my suspension was pumping up each morning...Glad I found culprit before my tank BURST!!!!
wmashfordhol please contact me via email. I would like to learn more about your sqeeking. My wife has a '04 Outlander with 67kmi which has the same squeeking in the rear. But the squeeking is more evident in lateral movement as opposed to up or down. I believe these cars have sway bars in the rear, so maybe there is a chance that that the bushings for this are worn. firstname.lastname@example.org
