Try to spray some lubricants ( wd 40) where the steel rod comes out of the sunvisor, the spring are some how stuck and needs lubrication.

tnx 4 using fixya,

Sorry but the only fix is to replace it, the internal locking pawl is probably worn.

I have fiat punto w registration my left front wiper just stop working the right one works what do i do

this looks like the wiper linkage broke off, simply get the covers off and see if the linkage just pop out from the ball or the bush is completely gone, this is not an expensive item and I do not recommend scrap yards.

Visor won't stay in position, flops down. Dealer says $400 for a new one. Ridiculous

Feel free to take a test drive in a late model Nissan Murano at your local Nissan dealership (preferably one with the same color interior). Make sure to have your visor and a screw driver at hand. Make the switch before returning to the dealership.

Sun visor won't go back into place

if its flopping around or feels loose you can try tightening the "hinge" that connects it to the roof and tightening the screws on the visor itself. That might align it enough to fit again properly.

Sun Visors won't stay forward towards windshield

inside the sun visor there is a spring which is moving to side when you push down the spring pushes side so it will keep down when you want to push to the normal possition spring releces and keep to that possition any way i would like to advice you to replace sun visor.
